Lad & Lassie

The annual Lad & Lassie Awards are presented at our St. Patrick's Day Dinner Dance. Candidates are selected by a committee and the winners are chosen based on their outstanding service to the community. Note: There were no 2016 Lad and Lassie awards given based on decision by St. Patrick's Day Dinner and Dance committee.

Education Community Service Program

An annual Scholarship is presented to an eligible Adult Woman from Blair County. A High School Senior Scholarship and Senior Student Community Service Award are presented annually to Hollidaysburg Area High School Seniors.

Art Community Service Program

An annual Scholarship is given to a Hollidaysburg Area High School Senior pursuing a degree in the arts. Awards and recognition is also given to students who submit artwork to our annual art contests. 
Categories include: photography, students media choice, short stories, and poetry.

Winner of Best Overall moves on to the GFWC Pennsylvania’s district level for judging.  GFWC HAWC’s “Colored Pencil” submission, by Cailin Brashear, won first place at the GFWC Pennsylvania’s South Central District competition and has moved on to the GFWC Pennsylvania statewide arts competition.
